The research is embedded in the Collaborative Research Centre 1743 'MY-CO BUILD: Biomanufacturing, characterisation, and sustainability assessment of fungal-based building materials' and shall develop a toolbox for synthetic biology. This toolbox will include a series of promoters, introns and terminators, which will be tested for applicability and dynamic ranges using reporter assays. The candidate will collaborate closely with SFB project partners to investigate genetic methods for modifying biomaterial properties, and to develop and apply multi-omics approaches.
