Research Associate with permanent tasks (PostDoc)

• Collaboration and development of teaching and research at the Institute of Education (IfE) with a focus on education in the digital world/media education
• Preparation and teaching of courses in the study programs of the Institute of Education and the educational sciences components of the teacher training studies amounting to 8 SWS, as well as supervision of student theses and (co-)development of examination formats
• Coordination of teaching at the Institute of Education in cooperation with other structural units such as the School of Education (SETUB)
• Development of study programs, e.g., for the implementation of KMK guidelines on education in the digital world
• Organization of internal and external training and transfer events on topics related to education in the digital world/media education
• Participation in internationalization strategies of the Institute of Education as well as science communication and digital public relations
• Collaboration in the committees of the Institute of Education, the School of Education at TUB (SETUB), and Faculty I

• Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in education, educational science, or a related field
• Successfully completed, very good dissertation in educational sciences with a clear connection to media education/education in the digital world
• After completing the university degree programme, at least three years of academic or specialist practical work in a full-time employment relationship
• In-depth knowledge in the field of education in the digital world/media education and in at least one of the following fields: social theories, social inequality & diversity, vocational education, inclusion, creative technologies
• In-depth knowledge and experience with empirical research methods (qualitative and/or quantitative)
• Experience in teaching of educational science and academic self-administration
• The ability to teach in German and/or English is required; willingness to acquire any missing language skills
• Motivation, teamwork and organizational skills, structured, responsible and independent working style desirable
• Experience in teaching teacher training, specifically in vocational teacher training is a plus
• Very good presentation skills advantageous
• Experience in science communication and digital public relations desirable
