Tasks

The research group "Human Biology and Primate Evolution" focuses on questions related to the molecular evolution of humans using modern experimental and bioinformatics methods. Our primary focus is on differences in gene regulation, the evolution of transcription factors, and non-coding RNAs, as well as their potential influence on the evolution of the human brain, its development, and its functions. For experimental work, we use stem cells from various primates, along with cellular and molecular biology techniques, as well as omics and high-throughput sequencing.
