Your responsibility
Collaboration in an interdisciplinary research team for thermoplastic fiber composites in the field of 3D printing. The area of responsibility includes the analysis of carbon fiber surfaces, the selection and analysis of thermoplastics and additives, and the analysis of the manufactured fiber composites. The position is located in the Additive Manufacturing of Composite Materials working group.
There is the possibility of pursuing a PhD.
Your profile
- A successfully completed university degree (master's, diploma, or equivalent) in materials science, plastics engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven practical experience in the processing and analysis of thermoplastic polymers with a focus on additives (antioxidants, flame retardants, crosslinkers)
- Proven knowledge of fiber composite materials and their characterization
- Basic knowledge of additive manufacturing, in particular FDM
- Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Proven experience in the analysis of carbon fiber surfaces is an advantage
- Proven design experience is an advantage
- Ability and desire to work independently is desirable
- Willingness to collaborate on the group's experimental projects is desired
