Research Assistant – 0.67 working-time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen
There is the possibility of a doctorate.
Tasks
- Participation in a research project funded by collaboration between the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) in the field of electrocatalytic water splitting using an anion exchange membrane (focus electrolyser single cell testing and membrane electrode assembly development)
- Independent and scientific work in the field of electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, catalyst synthesis and catalyst characterization
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemical engineering, chemistry, physics or similar
- Proven knowledge in the field of electrochemical characterization and electrode fabrication
- Specialized knowledge in the field of electrochemistry and impedance spectroscopy
- Experience and knowledge in the topic of electrocatalytic production of green hydrogen by electrolysis (focus AEM electrolysers)
- Detailed knowledge about the following software: OriginLab
- Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience in electrocatalyst synthesis with focus on metal oxides
- Experience in the field of electrolyzer cell measurements
- Experience in MEA fabrication and optimization (inclusive CCM and CCS coatings)
- Knowledge about the following methods: electrolyser single cell testing, RDE, XRD, ICP-OES/MS, SEM, TEM, EIS
- Very good ability to work in a team
