Tasks

The holder of the position has the possibility to work within a multidisciplinary, engaged, internationally oriented team, focusing on health systems, health services research, health economics and management, and health technology assessment. This includes the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and skills in research, teaching, and international cooperation. Specifically, we are looking for your support regarding the research project Telemedical Centre for Out-of-Hospital Ventilation and Oxygen Therapy (T-CABS), which is funded by the Innovation Fund of the Joint Federal Committee and aims to improve the care of people with outpatient ventilation with the help of telemedical measures. Video consultations between patients and medical specialists are offered and interdisciplinary case conferences are organised as required. If successful, the telemedicine platform should ensure customised care for people on ventilators on an outpatient basis by helping to avoid potential complications, strengthen those affected in their disease management and avoid resource-intensive and stressful transports to hospital. The Department of Health Care Management is responsible for the economic evaluation of the project and, in this context, to answer the question of how the new form of care can be transferred to standard care if successful.

Specifically, the tasks include the following aspects:

  • Support in the coordination of the project
  • Coordinating and conducting qualitative and qualitative analysis
  • dissemination of results, including presentation at conferences
  • preparation of scientific publications

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in relevant disciplines, i.e. (health) economics, public health, industrial engineering or medicine or related fields
  • The ability to teach in German and/or English is required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case
  • Experience with the usage of MS Office
  • Experience with the usage of a professional statistics software (e.g. R, SAS, SPSS)
  • Experience with the usage of professional referencing software
  • Experience with advanced statistical analyses and routine data
  • Working experience in a University and with teaching
  • Working experience in projects funded by the Innovation Fund

Desired:

  • Initial experience in publishing scientific articles
  • Initial experience in project management
  • Initial experiences with qualitative methods
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with other national or international research institutes, partners in politics and/or the industrial sector
