Accessibility Statement

Scope

This statement applies to the job portal of Berlin University Alliance at jobs.berlin-university-alliance.de. The portal is operated by Stellenticket GmbH, which runs it in cooperation with Berlin University Alliance.

It does not apply to the website of Berlin University Alliance itself, nor to external sites this portal links to.

Compliance status

The applicable rules are the Gesetz über barrierefreie Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Berlin (BIKTG Bln), the state law implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102, and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) it refers to. The technical basis behind them is the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, whose requirements correspond to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.

Because of the exceptions listed below, this portal is partially compliant with those requirements.

The most recent assessment, on August 22, 2026, found no violations of WCAG 2.2 level AA in any of the page types tested. The remaining limitations concern the PDF version of the job advertisements.

Non-accessible content

PDF version of the job advertisements. Every advertisement is also offered as a PDF file. These files are generated automatically from the advertisement data and are not prepared for accessibility, so they do not meet the requirements for accessible documents throughout.

The PDF, too, is a secondary version only: the complete content of every advertisement is available accessibly as a page of this portal, and the PDF holds nothing that is missing there.

Content outside the scope of the legislation

Job advertisements, files uploaded by employers (PDF job descriptions, for example) and linked application portals originate from the advertising employers. We neither create, fund nor control this content, so it falls outside the scope of the legislation.

The text of every advertisement is always available in this portal's own standard view, and screen readers always receive that view — including where an employer additionally supplies its advertisement in a layout of its own. What we cannot influence is the accessibility of attached files and of external application portals.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on August 22, 2026 and last reviewed on August 22, 2026.

It is based on a self-assessment: an automated audit of every page type of the portal with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 level AA, together with a manual review of keyboard operation, focus order and screen reader output. The automated checks run again on every change to the portal. This statement is reviewed at least once a year.
