Research Assist­ant - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD can­did­ate)

part-time employ­ment may be pos­sible

Work­ing field:

  • con­duct­ing courses (espe­cially study pro­jects) for Ger­man and Eng­lish-lan­guage Bach­elor's and Mas­ter's pro­grams on land­scape devel­op­ment, land­scape plan­ning and pro­tec­ted areas, with ref­er­ence to cur­rent meth­od­o­lo­gical, con­tent-related and soci­etal devel­op­ments in the sub­ject field
  • applic­a­tion for and sup­port­ing par­ti­cip­a­tion in research pro­jects
  • pub­lish­ing sci­entific art­icles in the sub­ject field
  • PhD research includ­ing com­ple­tion of a doc­tor­ate in the con­text of the chair’s work­ing field
  • con­tri­bu­tion to aca­demic self-admin­is­tra­tion

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Land­scape Plan­ning, Envir­on­mental Plan­ning or equi­val­ent
  • very good know­ledge of the con­tents and meth­ods of Land­scape Plan­ning and its eco­lo­gical, legal, admin­is­trat­ive, polit­ical and soci­etal con­text, includ­ing inter­na­tional aspects
  • good know­ledge of related instru­ments of nature con­ser­va­tion and envir­on­mental plan­ning (pro­tec­ted areas, envir­on­mental assess­ment, etc.)
  • flu­ent Ger­man with excel­lent verbal and writ­ten skills, very good pro­fi­ciency of the Eng­lish lan­guage
  • very good com­puter lit­er­acy (GIS, MS-Office)
  • didactic skills, com­mit­ment, capa­city for team­work, aptitude for inde­pend­ent and self-reli­ant work
Desir­able and advant­age­ous are:
  • exper­i­ences made in plan­ning offices, nature con­ser­va­tion admin­is­tra­tions or in the con­text of research pro­jects
  • teach­ing exper­i­ence
  • know­ledge of uni­versity-related struc­tures and pro­ced­ures
  • know­ledge of socio-empir­ical and stat­ist­ical meth­ods.
