Work­ing field:

Teach­ing assist­ance at the Insti­tute of Math­em­at­ics (Dis­crete Optim­iz­a­tion), e.g. the cour­ses Com­puter Math­em­at­ics and Algo­rith­mic Dis­crete Math­em­at­ics (Bach­elor and Mas­ter study cour­ses); par­ti­cip­a­tion in run­ning rese­arch pro­jects as well as own rese­arch in the fields of Dis­crete Optim­iz­a­tion or a rela­ted rese­arch area.


  • suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Math­em­at­ics or Com­puter Sci­ence; above-aver­age gra­des desi­red
  • pro­found know­ledge in Algo­rith­mic Dis­crete Math­em­at­ics, advan­ced know­ledge in the fields of Dis­crete Optim­iz­a­tion and Dis­crete Algo­rithms and rela­ted areas
  • exper­i­ence in uni­ver­sity teach­ing (e.g. as stu­dent assist­ant) is an advant­age
  • good know­ledge of Ger­man and Eng­lish (oral and writ­ten); suf­fi­cient lan­guage pro­fi­ciency to teach clas­ses in both Ger­man and Eng­lish is expec­ted
