Collaboration in the research project FlexEhome (The grid-supported solar house with full thermal and electrical supply). Within the project, a single-family house is to be developed, constructed and measured in the sense of a flagship project, which can independently cover its needs for electricity, heating and service water heating at any time of the year from locally generated renewable energy. These goals concern the home energy supply solution itself, but also the building envelope as well as an intelligent energy management, which is necessary to make the flexibility potential accessible on the grid side. PhD thesis preparation is possible.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) preferably in the field of building engineering or similar
Advanced knowledge in the field of the thermal building simulation, building energy systems and monitoring
Good programming skills (ideally Python)
Good knowledge in the field of automation
Good knowledge in the field of data acquisition and analysis
Knowledge in building energy system simulations, especially Modelica/Dymola
Very good PC knowledge (hardware and software)
Team and organizational skills
Very good knowledge of German, both spoken and written; willingness to learn the language skills that are missing
Flexibility; interest in new challenges
Good knowledge of English; willingness to learn the language skills that are missing
