Work­ing field:

  • exper­i­mentel Invest­ig­a­tion of the beha­viour of Vor­tex Gen­er­at­ors and Gurney Flaps under the influ­ence of unsteady sep­ar­a­tion and rota­tion for applic­a­tion to wind tur­bines
  • con­cep­tion, design and con­struc­tion of Gurney Flaps and Vor­tex Gen­er­at­ors for dynamic 2D and 3D wind tun­nel exper­i­ments


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in engin­eer­ing sci­ences, mech­an­ical engin­eer­ing or aerospace engin­eer­ing
  • in-depth know­ledge and exper­i­ence in aero­dy­nam­ics of air­foils Flü­geln, flow con­trol, fluid meas­ure­ment tech­niques (Ste­reo-PIV, TR-PIV, dynamic pres­sure, hot wire), wind tun­nel meas­ure­ment tech­nique, Lab­VIEW-pro­gram­ming (e.g. Cer­ti­fied Lab­VIEW Asso­ci­ate Developer)
  • prac­tical exper­i­ence in usage of exist­ing wind tun­nel and meas­ure­ment equip­ment at the departe­ment
  • flu­ency in Ger­man and Eng­lish
  • advant­age­ous is know­ledge of wind energy and in par­tic­u­lar of the aero­dy­nam­ics of the research tru­bine BeRT
