Research Assist­ant (Post-Doc)- salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 2nd qual­i­fic­a­tion period (Habil­it­a­tion)

Work­ing field:

  • Con­cep­tion and real­isa­tion of inde­pend­ent research pro­jects
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in shap­ing the pro­file of the chair “Inter­dis­cip­lin­ary Womens* and Gender Stud­ies”
  • Teach­ing and Research in the field of inter­dis­cip­lin­ary, inter­sec­tional Gender Stud­ies with focus on post and deco­lo­nial per­spect­ives
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the devel­op­ment of inter­na­tional cooper­a­tion in research and teach­ing (par­tic­u­larly with uni­versit­ies in African coun­tries)
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the devel­op­ment of courses in eng­lish

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Dip­lom, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) and PhD in Gender Stud­ies or with focus on Gender Stud­ies; focus on post-/deco­lo­nial the­or­ies
  • Exper­i­ence with teach­ing and pub­lic­a­tion
  • Spe­cific interest in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary and inten­a­tional fem­in­ist the­ory and per­spect­ives of social the­ory
  • Exper­i­ences with team work, com­mu­nic­at­ive com­pet­ences
  • Very good Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage skills; suf­fi­cient lan­guage pro­fi­ciency to teach classes in both Ger­man and Eng­lish is expec­ted
Desired com­pet­ences:
  • Exper­i­ence with het­ero­gen­ous aca­demic cul­tures
  • French lan­guage skills
