Research Assist­ant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

part-time employ­ment may be pos­sible

Work­ing field:

Research within a DFG pro­ject in the field of com­pu­ta­tional geo­metry, spe­cific­ally in mod­el­ing poly­hed­ral and poly­hed­ral par­ti­tion­ing of space for digital mod­el­ling of topo­logy and geo­metry; pos­sib­il­ity to obtain a PhD degree. The pro­ject is executed in cooper­a­tion together with Mrs. Prof. D.Sc. Gal­ish­nikova, Ph.D., Peoples‘ Friend­ship Uni­versity of Rus­sia, Moscow. The pro­ject team con­sists at each part­ner uni­versity of a research assist­ant (full time pos­i­tion) and a stu­dent coworker (40 h/month). The pro­ject lan­guage is Eng­lish. Selec­ted pro­ject meet­ings take place in Moscow.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in engin­eer­ing, com­puter sci­ences, math­em­at­ics or related fields
  • Very good know­ledge in com­pu­ta­tional geo­metry
  • Exper­i­ences in object ori­ented pro­gram­ming, prefer­ably Java or C#
  • The abil­ity to work in a team, excel­lent com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, and a high motiv­a­tion to bring own ideas to the pro­ject
  • Know­ledge in exist­ing mod­el­ing tools used in civil engin­eer­ing and / or other engin­eer­ing dis­cip­lines are desired.
  • Very good Eng­lish lan­guage skills are expec­ted.
