Work­ing field:

  • ana­lysis and sim­u­la­tion of cal­ib­rated whole-brain net­works using neur­onal mass mod­els; work on the design and eval­u­ation of novel con­trol schemes for the sta­bil­iz­a­tion of and switch­ing between their dynam­ical states
  • inter­ac­tion with clin­ical sci­ent­ists who are inter­ested in the non-invas­ive manip­u­la­tion of the whole-brain dynam­ics using tran­s­cra­nial cur­rent stim­u­la­tion
  • PhD thesis pre­parar­tion is poss­bile


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Com­pu­ta­tional Neur­os­cience, Com­puter Sci­ence math­em­at­ics, phys­ics or related fields
  • in-depth know­ledge in non-lin­ear dynam­ics abd stochas­tioc pro­cesses
  • very good pro­gram­ming skills
  • very good Eng­lish skills and or good com­mand of Ger­man required; will­ing­ness to learn either Eng­lish or Ger­man is expec­ted
