Work­ing field:

  • sci­entific coordin­a­tion, admin­is­tra­tion and sup­port of the extens­ive test facil­it­ies, test mod­els and meas­ure­ment tech­no­logy at the Chair of Aero­dy­nam­ics;
  • inde­pend­ent devel­op­ment, coordin­a­tion and man­age­ment of the new research focus "Exper­i­mental Flight Meas­ure­ment / Flight Sensor Tech­no­logy",
  • super­vi­sion of the courses "Prac­tice of Flight Meas­ure­ment Tech­no­logy” and “Aero­ther­mo­dy­nam­ics"; Devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of new courses in the field of exper­i­mental/numer­ical aero­dy­nam­ics
  • applic­a­tion, coordin­a­tion and imple­ment­a­tion (pro­ject man­age­ment) of third-party fun­ded pro­jects in the field of aero­dy­nam­ics
  • pre­par­a­tion of work plans and tasks in bach­elor's and mas­ter's degree pro­grammes; sci­entific super­vi­sion of the work of under­gradu­ate and gradu­ate stu­dents
  • cooper­a­tion in vari­ous com­mit­tees of the uni­versity


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted engin­eer­ing degree (dip­loma, mas­ter or equi­val­ent) with focus on aero­dy­nam­ics, PhD in the field of exper­i­mental fluid mech­an­ics; at least three years of sci­entific or prac­tical work in a full-time employ­ment rela­tion­ship
  • pro­found know­ledge in the field of exper­i­mental aero­dy­nam­ics and the asso­ci­ated meas­ure­ment tech­niques (PIV, ther­mo­elec­tric meas­ure­ment meth­ods, flight meas­ure­ment) as well as exper­i­ence in hand­ling aero­dy­namic test facil­it­ies
  • proven excel­lent know­ledge in plan­ning, exe­cu­tion and eval­u­ation of com­plex flight exper­i­ments with small air­craft (UL, motor glider, ECHO class)
  • extens­ive teach­ing exper­i­ence and pleas­ure in super­vising stu­dents and con­duct­ing courses in the field of aero­dy­nam­ics / aero­ther­mo­dy­nam­ics / flight meas­ure­ment tech­no­logy, edu­ca­tional exper­i­ence
  • exper­i­ence in apply­ing for third-party fun­ded pro­jects (DFG, EU, LuFo)
  • exper­i­ence using the Microsoft Office Pack­age
  • suf­fi­cient lan­guage pro­fi­ciency to teach classes in both Ger­man and Eng­lish is expec­ted

  • PPL-A/UL – License
  • exper­i­ence in per­son­nel and pro­ject man­age­ment
  • know­ledge of elec­trical engin­eer­ing, meas­ure­ment and con­trol tech­no­logy
  • cre­at­ive ideas for the devel­op­ment of new test rigs and for the fur­ther devel­op­ment of exist­ing test facil­it­ies
  • very good present­a­tion skills
  • team- and organ­isa­tional skills, flex­ib­il­ity, resi­li­ence, ini­ti­at­ive, assump­tion of respons­ib­il­ity, inde­pend­ent work­ing and interest in new chal­lenges are expec­ted.
