Research assistant - permanent position acc. to MAVO - salary grade E14 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen
part-time employment may be possible
scientific coordination, administration and support of the extensive test facilities, test models and measurement technology at the Chair of Aerodynamics;
independent development, coordination and management of the new research focus "Experimental Flight Measurement / Flight Sensor Technology",
supervision of the courses "Practice of Flight Measurement Technology” and “Aerothermodynamics"; Development and implementation of new courses in the field of experimental/numerical aerodynamics
application, coordination and implementation (project management) of third-party funded projects in the field of aerodynamics
preparation of work plans and tasks in bachelor's and master's degree programmes; scientific supervision of the work of undergraduate and graduate students
cooperation in various committees of the university
successfully completed engineering degree (diploma, master or equivalent) with focus on aerodynamics, PhD in the field of experimental fluid mechanics; at least three years of scientific or practical work in a full-time employment relationship
profound knowledge in the field of experimental aerodynamics and the associated measurement techniques (PIV, thermoelectric measurement methods, flight measurement) as well as experience in handling aerodynamic test facilities
proven excellent knowledge in planning, execution and evaluation of complex flight experiments with small aircraft (UL, motor glider, ECHO class)
extensive teaching experience and pleasure in supervising students and conducting courses in the field of aerodynamics / aerothermodynamics / flight measurement technology, educational experience
experience in applying for third-party funded projects (DFG, EU, LuFo)
experience using the Microsoft Office Package
sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
PPL-A/UL – License
experience in personnel and project management
knowledge of electrical engineering, measurement and control technology
creative ideas for the development of new test rigs and for the further development of existing test facilities
very good presentation skills
team- and organisational skills, flexibility, resilience, initiative, assumption of responsibility, independent working and interest in new challenges are expected.
