At the Chair of Food Biotechnology and Food Process Engineering you will lead the working group Biothermofluiddynamics. Thus, your task will be to apply for, coordinate, and guide research proposals focusing on basic research and applied research. Those proposals are supposed to be located at the interface between food biotechnology, multiscale product/process analysis and design, and biothermofluiddynamics. The duties in research and teaching contain process engineering/technological design and process optimization incl. fluidmechanical-numerical as well as experimental investigations.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) as well as above average dissertation in the field of biothermofluiddynamics. The orientation of the position is located in the disciplines food technology, computational engineering, process engineering or comparable disciplines. Corresponding expertise in the field of computational fluid dynamics as well as in the field of experimental methods in fluid mechanics and bio process engineering are required. Expertise in teaching, project management and project acquisition of scientific research projects and knowledge of the funding landscape in food technology are demanded. High willingness to cooperate as well as the willingness and skills for independent, interdisciplinary work at the interface between food technology, process engineering, fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics are required.
Sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected.
