In the planned tandem project with the University of Stuttgart, the aim is to create calculation bases for modularized load-bearing structures made of prestressed carbon concrete with dry joints for the individualized bridge, high-rise and industrial construction. It is a load-bearing concept based on the use of non-corrosive carbon to brace individual modules that are to be fabricated into a manufactur-ing process and cost-effectively processed on-site. In this context, the so-called industrial computed tomography should be used, which is the standard procedure in the production engineering of me-chanical engineering for quality control of individual workpieces.
Design and analysis of modularized structures made of carbon concrete
Experimental investigations of various specimens
Numerical and analytical calculations based on CT data
Evaluation and documentation of the investigations
Successfully completed university degree (diploma, master or equivalent) in civil engineering
Experience in performing application-oriented research projects is an advantage; experience in the field of carbon concrete is an advantage
very good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written) incl. the technical language in structural engineering
Interested in interdisciplinary work in the fields of civil engineering and related engineering
high level of personal responsibility and resilience
