Research Assist­ant - 0.5 work­ing time - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD can­did­ate)

Work­ing field:

  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in research and teach­ing at the depart­ment for Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion
  • Super­vising and facil­it­at­ing the sem­inar archi­tec­tural sur­vey and build­ing doc­u­ment­a­tion with manual and digital meth­ods, includ­ing also room register, mater­ial map­ping, dam­age assess­ment, con­ser­va­tion and adapt­ive reuse con­cep­tion plan­ning in the mas­ter pro­gram of Build­ing Archae­ology and Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion.
  • Hand­ling and edit­ing the doc­u­ment­a­tion of the yearly stud­ied pro­ject
  • Col­lab­or­a­tion and par­ti­cip­a­tion in the depart­ment research pro­jects,
  • Work­ing on own PhD thesis

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Archi­tec­ture; com­ple­tion of a mas­ter study in the field of Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion is desired.
  • Deep know­ledge and expert­ise in the field of Build­ing Archae­ology and Built-Her­it­age Con­ser­va­tion
  • Very good know­ledge and expert­ise in digital and manual meth­ods of build­ing sur­vey includ­ing tachy­met­ric and pho­to­gram­metry
  • Good archi­tec­tural doc­u­ment­a­tion-rel­ev­ant com­puter skills MS-Office; Auto­CAD, graphic edit­ing (Adobe: Pho­toshop, InDes­ign, Illus­trator or altern­at­ive soft­wares), pho­to­gram­metry (FARO As-Built, AgiSoft Metashape), good know­ledge in web based applic­a­tions.
  • very good Ger­man and Eng­lish skills
Addi­tional Qual­i­fic­a­tions:
  • Social com­pet­ence and good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, a team spirit and the abil­ity to cope with stress
  • high degree of inde­pend­ence, struc­tured work­ing method, and per­sonal ini­ti­at­ive
  • Abil­ity to work self-respons­ible, reli­ab­il­ity
