Research Assistant (Postdoc) (m/f/d)
Participation in research, teaching and service in the field of virology with focus on general cellular and molecular virology.
independent management of scientific projects
supervision of doctoral students
acquisition of support for ongoing research activities through proposal writing and advancement of the Institute's core competency/research agenda
planning, conducting and evaluating scientific experiments and writing reports
disseminate, present and publish scientific results • participation in the academic self-administration.
The activity serves the own scientific qualification
completed scientific university studies and doctorate (PhD) or equivalent degree in veterinary medicine, biology, biotechnology or related field.
experience in handling cell cultures and in virological assays
experience with animal experiments (ideally with chickens, FELASA Cat. B course or equivalent)
good communication skills
team player who is able to formulate clear scientific hypotheses and work effectively with collaborators
good command of written and spoken English
german language skills are an advantage
evidence of successful teaching and research at a university as well as excellent research activities; experience with animal experiments
