The Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD) at TU Berlin is looking for a research assistant for a research group of the BZML under the direction of Prof. Klaus-Robert Müller.
Research at the intersection of machine learning and differential geometry
Development of robust methods to explain Neural Network classifier decisions
Theoretical and practical analysis of explanation methods, connecting explanation methods with generative models
GANs, Nfs, VAEs
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Applied Mathematics
Profound knowledge in machine learning, differential calculus.
Practical experience in the development and application of machine learning algorithms, as well as parallel computing on GPUs
Solid programming skills, especially experience with ML and linear algebra libraries (Julia, SciML, JAX, PyTorch, etc.)
Excellent communication skills in German and English
