Work­ing field:

Participation in the above-mentioned subject in the academic coordination within the framework of the Transnational Center for Just Transitions in Energy, Climate & Sustainability (TRAJECTS) project. Trajects has three regional hubs and a global network of over 40 institutions from civil society, science, think tanks, public administration and business. The project aims to support and strengthen transcontinental exchange, research and education on various “sustainability changes”. Accordingly, the main task of the advertised position is to enable a south-south-north exchange and capacity building with a strongly inter- and transdisciplinary approach. The office of academic coordination of the TRAJECTS European Regional Hub will be responsible for the general academic project coordination, the coordination of the TRAJECTS committees, the coordination of scholarships for junior and senior research stays, as well as the communication with and reporting to the DAAD.

Require­ments:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in economics or social sciences (e.g. economics, political science, public policy, etc.).
  • Experience in research in the field of sustainability changes (e.g. coal phase-out, energy turnaround, agricultural turnaround, etc.).
  • Experience in international research cooperation, especially with online collaborative research
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (oral and written)
  • Very good project management skills
  • Knowledge of Spanish (oral and written) is an advantage
  • Intercultural competence (e.g. between Global South and North) is an advantage
  • Experience in carrying out international research or exchange projects is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team
