Scientific collaboration in the ZIM R&D cooperation project "Development of a 3D concrete printing system for additive manufacturing based on standard materials with continuous volume flow control". You will be responsible for the planning and executing all work packages related to the mix design and testing of concrete applicable by 3D printing. You will select suitable starting materials, fundamentally characterize them, and test the concretes formulated using standardized and new test methods. Further tasks include the investigation of printability using the existing 3D printer, the scientific evaluation and preparation of the conducted investigations; coordination of the cooperation with the other project partners; participation in project discussions and presentation of results at conferences; preparation of reports and publication of the results in basic and applied journals.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in civil engineering, materials science with focus on building materials, chemistry, minealogy or equivalent
In-depth knowledge in the field of building materials, inorganic binders and construction chemical additives are a prerequisite
Experience in the production and / or testing of building materials is desirable
Experience in additive manufacturing with concrete is an advantage
Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
A high level of motivation and ability to work independently in an international scientific environment is required.
The application must indicate any existing experience in the field of the advertised topic and previously used analysis methods must be indicated. The opportunity of a doctorate is given.
