Work­ing field:

Collaboration in research activities of the department, in particular in the research project "TransHyDE" with the framework of the German Energy Transition and the National Hydrogen Strategy, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), in which we participate in the development, evaluation and demonstration of several technologies for hydrogen transport

  • Contributions of gas infrastructure to climate neutrality, development of hydrogen infrastructure.
  • Analysis of the techno-economical aspects of hydrogen production and transport, interfaces with the potentials of renewable electricity production and industrial hydrogen demand,
  • Focus analysis "site selection of electrolysis",
  • Design of network modeling system for gas transport networks to optimize transformation paths of a German hydrogen transport system in the context of European energy systems,
  • Gas transmission network simulations.


Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) are required; as well as

  • Commitment, creativity together with communicative and social skills,
  • Combination of independent scientific research interests and pronounced ability to work in a team,
  • Very good English language skills; good knowledge of German or the will to learn it,
  • In-depth IT-knowledge and programming experience,
  • Experience in gas network simulations,
  • GIS and database skills are desirable.
