The DAI Labor­at­ory of the Tech­nical Uni­versity of Ber­lin is look­ing for research assist­ants for a research pro­ject in the field of devel­op­ing digital solu­tions to sup­port care­givers in the home envir­on­ment. Besides the devel­op­ment of a vir­tual model apart­ment in 3D, tech­nical solu­tions will be developed in a show­room as well as mobile demon­strat­ors.

Work­ing field:

  • Act­ive par­ti­cip­a­tion in a research pro­ject on Ambi­ent Assisted Liv­ing and care
  • Devel­op­ment of inter­act­ive 3D user inter­faces for Web and VR
  • Build­ing an envir­on­ment with Ambi­ent Assisted Liv­ing Hard­ware
  • Inter­dis­cip­lin­ary cooper­a­tion with pro­ject part­ners

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in com­puter sci­ence or com­par­able field of study
  • Very good pro­gram­ming skills in Java and Python
  • Exper­i­ence with devel­op­ment using OpenGL and Unity
  • Exper­i­ence in soft­ware engin­eer­ing and agile, col­lab­or­at­ive soft­ware devel­op­ment prac­tices
  • Exper­i­ence in the field of care and care sci­ences is an advant­age
  • Will­ing­ness to per­form, cre­ativ­ity, abil­ity to work and research inde­pend­ently
Very good know­ledge of Ger­man and good know­ledge of Eng­lish; will­ing­ness to learn the respect­ive miss­ing lan­guage skills
