The holder of the position has the possibility to work within a multidisciplinary internationally orientated team focusing on healthcare systems, healthcare research, health economics, and health technology assessment. He or she has the opportunity to contribute own ideas and abilities concerning research and teaching, and to work independently in scientific research with the aim of promotion. Futhermore the tasks include the following aspects:
Participation in the work programme of the World Health Organization / European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies
Preparation of Health Systems in Transition (HiT) profiles
Collaboration in the preparation of (peer-reviewed) publications relevant to the Department’s areas of work
Participation in international conferences and meetings
Successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in medicine, public health, economics, health economics, business administration or comparable degree in the area of health sciences or management is mandatory
Excellent writing and oral skills in English are required
Good command of German required; willingness to learn German is expected
Experience with the usage of MS Office and rereference management programmes is necessary
Your personal strengths include a high level of organizational skills; the ability to communicate and work as part of a team; a high degree of flexibility; the ability to cope with pressure and work independently
