Contributing to a research project concerning disengagement/de-radicalisation processes of Islamist extremists
In this government funded research project, we will standardise and analyse data collected from counsellors in the field of Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) regarding developmental trajectories of former Islamists. As a member of the research team at the Centre for Technology and Society's department of Security - Risk - Criminology, the research associate's duties include developing a survey instrument in consultation with practitioners as well as conducting the actual survey amongst practitioners.
Successfully completed academic university studies (Master, Diplom or equivalent) preferably in the field of social sciences, law, criminology, sociology or psychology
previous knowledge about extremism's phenomena and/or knowledge of about biographical research in the social sciences
If possible, familiarity with the field of countering and preventing violent extremism (P/CVE)
Ability to work in a team, with a project-oriented attitude and outstanding communicative and social skills
fluently written and spoken German language proficiency is mandatory
