The pos­i­tions are to be filled on 01/02/2021 and 15/02/2021.

Work­ing field:

  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the group’s teach­ing activ­it­ies in the fields Max­wellian field the­ory as well as numer­ical field sim­u­la­tion (advanced courses);
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the group’s research activ­it­ies, includ­ing act­ive research work in the area of numer­ical field sim­u­la­tion.


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Elec­trical Engin­eer­ing, prefer­ably with a focus on com­pu­ta­tional elec­tro­mag­net­ics,
  • advanced know­ledge in lin­ear algebra, numer­ical math,
  • prior know­ledge in grid-based meth­ods for elec­tro­mag­netic field sim­u­la­tion,
  • exper­i­enced usage of EM sim­u­la­tion soft­ware, pro­gram­ming skills (Mat­Lab, C++).
  • The abil­ity to teach in Ger­man as well as in Eng­lish lan­guage is required.
