Technischen Universität Berlin (TUB) seeks to appoint
2 Visiting Professors from Industry
for the faculties I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII.
The program "Joint Programmes for Female Scientists & Professionals" (www.jointpro.tuberlin.de) promotes alternative career paths in academia and inter-sectoral collaboration. Visiting professorships aim at enabling women in research & development departments of business companies to build stronger networks with academia in order to increase the percentage of women at universities in the long term.
The visiting professorships can be filled full-time (100%) for 6 months or part-time (50%) for up to 12 months. The starting date for the professorships is April 2021. The salary is based on the salary scheme for guest lectures at TU Berlin.
Research and teaching according to the candidate´s area of expertise. Applicants are asked to pass their experience on to young female scientists in the framework of career events and the willingness to cooperate with other research areas at TU Berlin.
Candidates should fulfill the formal requirements in compliance with §§ 113 and 100 BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act). Candidates must be currently employed in industry and possess research experience; gender and diversity competence; good command of English. Intended research and teaching activities must integrate well into the research and teaching profile of an existing chair or an institute at TU Berlin and must be supported by a cooperating professor at TU Berlin.
