Research Assist­ant - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

Work­ing field:

  • research in the field of applied ana­lysis with focus on math­em­at­ical image and data pro­cessing, in par­tic­u­lar large-scale optim­iz­a­tion, mod­el­ing with sparsity con­straints, stochastic meth­ods in non­non­vex, nonsmooth optim­iz­a­tion
  • work within a joint BMBF pro­ject on Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence with Dr. F. Nest­ler, Prof. Potts and Prof. Stoll (TU Chem­nitz)

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in math­em­at­ics or related field
  • PhD in math­em­at­ics wel­come
  • excel­lent know­ledge in func­tional ana­lysis and non­lin­ear optim­iz­a­tion
  • know­ledge in machine learn­ing and stochastics
  • expert­ise in soft­ware devel­op­ment, e.g. C, C++, Python, Mat­lab
  • very good com­mand of Ger­man and Eng­lish
