Work­ing field:

  • applied research in the con­text of the inter­dis­cip­lin­ary devel­op­ment of a digital doc­u­ment­a­tion tool (an app) with the aim of improv­ing the pre­ven­tion and med­ical health care of chil­dren
  • inde­pend­ent devel­op­ment and real­iz­a­tion of research and eval­u­ation stud­ies based on user pro­files and user exper­i­ence of the digital tool (i. e. inter­views, focus groups, usab­il­ity test­ing, obser­va­tions in situ, ect.)
  • user centered and iter­at­ive devel­op­ment and test­ing of the app’s con­tent, espe­cially health com­mu­nic­a­tion images, forms, charts and texts. This digital con­tent is sup­posed to com­mu­nic­ate med­ical inform­a­tion bar­rier-free and play­fully to users with dif­fer­ent lan­guage skills and (lim­ited) under­stand­ings of stat­ist­ics.
  • inde­pend­ent pro­ject man­age­ment of parts of the devel­op­ment pro­cess
  • col­lab­or­a­tion with experts in the fields of medi­cine, pro­gram­ming and design.
  • sup­port of the soft­ware devel­op­ment pro­cess (imple­ment­a­tion and pilot­ing)

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted Uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in psy­cho­logy/Human Factors or anthro­po­logy/soci­ology with an emphasis on user centered tech­no­logy devel­op­ment and design pro­cesses or in sim­ilar fields
  • know­ledge of quant­it­at­ive and qual­it­at­ive research meth­ods
  • work/research exper­i­ence in the med­ical domain, for instance with usab­il­ity design/usab­il­ity eval­u­ation, trans­par­ent risk com­mu­nic­a­tion, com­mu­nic­a­tion of med­ical inform­a­tion in a bar­rier-free and or play­ful way
  • pro­ject man­age­ment exper­i­ence
  • very good abil­ity to speak and write in Ger­man

Desir­able:

  • work exper­i­ence in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary teams and the abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently in dynamic inter­dis­cip­lin­ary set­tings
  • exper­i­ence in research and devel­op­ment of online tech­no­lo­gies
  • interest in qual­it­at­ive research meth­ods in the con­text of tech­no­logy devel­op­ment
  • the can­did­ate should enjoy com­mu­nic­a­tion and design pro­cesses as well as pur­su­ing tech­nical and med­ical prob­lems
  • very good abil­ity to speak and write in Eng­lish
