At the Department of Methods of Product Development and Mechatronics you will be involved in the topic of Additive Manufacturing. In this context, you will work in the team of the department at Werner von Siemens Centre for Industry and Science (WvSC) in cooperation with partners from industry and science. The focus is on the methodical development of design concepts in the field of Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and the application to electrical actuators and gas turbines. Based on the findings, you will participate in the development of design guidelines for the application of new additive manufacturing processes.
You will represent the topics in the joint research project, at national and international conferences, trade fairs and workshops through scientific contributions and demonstrations and instruct student employees. The possibility for a doctorate is given.
successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, physical engineering or similar
very good knowledge of design methods and methodical product development
very good knowledge of CAD systems, ideally Siemens NX additive manufacturing and PLM
structured and professional working method
advanced skills in german and english language in speech and writing
knowledge and interest in the field of additive manufacturing of metallic components desirable
