Collaboration in research and teaching at the Chair of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
Particular tasks are:
  • Scientific planning, monitoring and analysis of soil mechanical laboratory tests.
  • Development of soil mechanical models for describing the flow behavior of dynamically excited sandy soils.
  • Implementation of soil mechanical constitutive models in finite element programs and execution of numerical simulations.
  • Documentation of the research, preparation of project reports, presentation and publication of the research results in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Profound knowledge in the field of soil mechanics, engineering mechanics, and numerical methods for initial and boundary value problems, particularly the finite element method (FEM) as well as programming skills.
  • Excellent german and english language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Writing scientific publications and presenting the results of the research on national and international conferences.
  • Knowledge in the field of constitutive theory and material modeling, implementation of constitutive models, Lagrangian, Eulerian and ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) formulations, programming skills in Fortran and experimental soil mechanics.
