Research Assistant in the research group of Prof. Robert Weismantel, Einstein Visiting Fellow
Conducting independent research in the Berlin based team of Prof. Weismantel (ETH Zurich) and Prof. Henk and Prof. Skutella (TU Berlin). The postdoc position is funded by Prof. Weismantel’s Einstein Visiting Fellowship „Mixed Integer Programming“.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and doctorate in the area of mathematical optimization or a related mathematical field; excellent dissertation desired.
An ideal candidate has solid background in the theory of integer optimization, the geometry of numbers, lattice theory and complexity theory. It is expected that an applicant can refer to publications or refereed proceedings.
Good command of German and/or English required; willingness to learn either English or German is expected.
