Work­ing field:

Fun­da­mental research in the field of the­or­et­ical phys­ics of non­lin­ear and quantum optics, par­ti­cip­a­tion in the CRC 951 "The­ory of ultra­fast inter­ac­tion and spec­tro­scopy at atom­ic­ally thin semi­con­ductor mono­layer – organic molecule inter­faces" / sub-pro­ject B12

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in phys­ics or a related field;
very good know­ledge in the­or­et­ical con­densed mat­ter phys­ics, in par­tic­u­lar for treat­ing dis­order, dis­sip­a­tion, quantum cas­cades and non­lin­ear (HIOS) exciton inter­ac­tions within non-Markovian equa­tion of motion and tensor net­work meth­ods for non-equi­lib­rium quantum-many body dynam­ics bey­ond mean field approaches.
Neces­sary are very good know­ledge of the Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage, high level of pro­gram­ming skills in C, or C++, expliti­citly desired exper­i­ence in hand­ling numer­ical pack­ages such as iTensor, or MPNUM, and the com­mit­ment and abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently.
