Work­ing field:

The goal of the new pos­i­tion is to per­form sci­ent­i­fic rese­arch work in the area of Full Duplex Com­mu­nic­a­tion wit­hin the scope of a DFG pro­ject. This inclu­des the fol­low­ing tasks, but it is not lim­ited to:
  • Study the real­iz­a­tion of full-duplex duplex­ing scheme in the mil­li­meter-wave fre­quency range
  • Per­form self-inter­fer­ence chan­nel meas­ure­ments
  • Deve­lop RF-based and digi­tal self-inter­fer­ence tech­niques and of self-inter­fer­ence-can­cel­la­tion algo­rithms
  • Invest­ig­a­tion on a full-duplex com­mu­nic­a­tion link capa­city
  • Pre­par­a­tion and pre­sent­a­tion of sci­ent­i­fic pub­lic­a­tions and act­ive con­tri­bu­tions to the rese­arch com­munity

The work should be car­ried out by means of the­or­et­ical and math­em­at­ical as well as exper­i­men­tal meth­ods. The pos­i­tion inclu­des the option to pre­pare a PhD the­sis.


  • Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Elec­tri­cal Engin­eer­ing, Com­mu­nic­a­tions Engin­eer­ing, Inform­a­tion Tech­no­logy or rela­ted field of study
  • A solid the­or­et­ical under­pin­ning know­ledge in digi­tal com­mu­nic­a­tion sys­tems and multi-rate digi­tal sig­nal pro­ces­sing
  • Solid pro­gram­ming skills in sci­ent­i­fic pro­gram­ming lan­guages such as MAT­LAB® or/and Python
  • Basic exper­i­ence in RF and micro­wave engin­eer­ing
  • Hands-on exper­i­ence of using RF meas­ure­ment equip­ment includ­ing net­work ana­lyz­ers and spec­trum ana­lyz­ers is pre­fer­able
  • A team player able to work with little guid­ance who has a solu­tion-ori­ented atti­tude
  • Flu­ent in Eng­lish, at least basic know­ledge in Ger­man
