Work­ing field:

The BMBF fun­ded pro­ject „Bauhaus 4.0 – Digital Update for the artistic design teach­ing of Bauhaus. Concept for digital pro­to­typ­ing in higher edu­ca­tion for industry 4.0“ is an inter­dis­cip­lin­ary pro­ject for the digital innov­a­tion in artistic design teach­ing lead by Kun­sthoch­schule Weißensee.

The pos­i­tion in the sub-pro­ject „ Eval­u­ation of digital pro­to­typ­ing in artistic learn­ing pro­cesses“ at the depart­ment of edu­ca­tional psy­cho­logy at TU Ber­lin entails the fol­low­ing activ­it­ies:

a) con­cep­tu­al­iz­ing and con­duct­ing an eval­u­ation study with a mixed-meth­ods design with mul­tiple meas­ure­ment points (quant­it­at­ive data col­lec­tion con­cern­ing atti­tudes, emo­tions, com­pet­en­cies and focus group dis­cus­sions con­cern­ing exper­i­ences and pos­sib­il­it­ies of trans­fer of the con­cepts in higher edu­ca­tion didactics)
b) form­at­ive feed­back cycles with lec­tur­ers and pro­ject per­sonal con­cern­ing the empir­ical res­ults for the design of the learn­ing arrange­ments / con­cepts of didactics
c) empir­ical research con­cern­ing tech­no­logy accept­ance, learn­ing and achieve­ment based exper­i­ences with digital learn­ing and cog­nit­ive visu­al­iz­a­tion skills

We are a depart­ment with extens­ive exper­i­ence in quant­it­at­ive and qual­it­at­ive social research with a focus on con­di­tions and pro­cesses of learn­ing in edu­ca­tional insti­tu­tions and a wide range of other interests.

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted sci­entific uni­versity degree (Dip­loma, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in Psy­cho­logy, Edu­ca­tional Sci­ence, or Social Sci­ence
  • interest in mixed method approaches and work­ing with qual­it­at­ive and quant­it­at­ive data
  • strong expert­ise in the ana­lysis of qual­it­at­ive (e.g., MaxQDA, NVivo, atlas.ti) and/or quant­it­at­ive data (e.g., SPSS, Mplus, R) and motiv­a­tion to develop skills in the other field respect­ively
  • exper­i­ence in con­duct­ing quant­it­at­ive data col­lec­tions and/or exper­i­ence in recon­struct­ive social research, esp. in the ana­lysis of group dis­cus­sions (e.g. doc­u­ment­ary method)
  • con­fid­ence in data col­lec­tions with people of dif­fer­ent status (stu­dents, lec­tur­ers, mas­ter tech­ni­cians)
  • very good inter­dis­cip­lin­ary com­mu­nic­a­tion and cooper­a­tion skills
  • flu­ency in Ger­man (writ­ten and spoken), very good Eng­lish skills (writ­ten and spoken)
  • inde­pend­ent, sys­tem­atic and pre­cise way of work­ing

Desir­able Require­ments:
  • exper­i­ence with oral and writ­ten com­mu­nic­a­tion of research res­ults
  • interest in artistic pro­cesses, digit­al­iz­a­tion, research on higher edu­ca­tion, teach­ing and learn­ing
