“European His­tory of the Late Middle Ages” (W3)

from 1 Octo­ber 2021.


The suc­cess­ful can­did­ate will rep­res­ent the field of Medi­eval His­tory with a focus on the Later Middle Ages in teach­ing and research. The per­son will be able to fol­low diverse them­atic and meth­od­o­lo­gical approaches. His [m,f,d] research will be com­pat­ible within inter­dis­cip­lin­ary dis­course. Exper­i­ence in rais­ing third-party funds is required. The will­ing­ness to par­ti­cip­ate in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary col­lab­or­at­ive pro­jects and cooper­a­tion is expec­ted.

What we of­fer:

The applic­ants must meet the legal require­ments for pro­fess­or­ial appoint­ments in accord­ance with § 100 of the `Ber­liner Hoch­schul­ge­setz`.

HU is seek­ing to increase the pro­por­tion of women in research and teach­ing, and spe­cific­ally encour­ages qual­i­fied female schol­ars to apply. Research­ers from abroad are wel­come to apply. Sev­eral dis­abled applic­ants with equi­val­ent qual­i­fic­a­tions will be given pref­er­en­tial con­sid­er­a­tion. People with an immig­ra­tion back­ground are spe­cific­ally encour­aged to apply.
