Development of a platform for the automatic optimization of bioprocesses using robots.
Our goal is to create the first platform for the integration, digitization and computer-aided operation of automated biotech laboratories.
The project will create a robot platform with a software solution for the complete digitization of a laboratory:
1. integrate any data and manufacturer-independent devices into its framework,
2. uses advanced machine learning algorithms that can "intelligently" coordinate and operate all robots and devices, and
3. control the entire laboratory from a remote central database.
The software is an integrated software solution with a user-friendly front-end interface for the operation of the integrated devices, the handling of all data and the self-learning operation of the robots.
control of laboratory equipment
Programming of automated Liquid handling stations
Integration of labware into databases using standards of communication(i.e. SILA2)
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, control engineering or comparable subjects
Additionally, practical experience would be of advantage:
with Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS)
with the integration and digital control of laboratory equipment
with single or multiple software systems from Siemens in the field of laboratory automation, in particular liquid handling stations TECAN and HAMILTON
with model based experimental design, Design of Experiments (DoE)
in the modelling of kinetic models
with cultivation systems at laboratory and small scale
in the field of fermentation on a laboratory scale
