Research Assistant - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

Research in the field of communication networks in the DFG project DyMoNet. Development of concepts and algorithms for mobile base stations to optimise e.g. coverage, throughput, resilience. Performance application (analytical, simulative, experimental). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed academic university degree (Master's degree, diploma or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Outstanding first achievements (e.g. publications) or very good degree
  • Sound knowledge of communication networks Excellent programming skills (Phython, C++, Matlab)
  • Very good knowledge of Linux
  • Strong mathematical background
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
  • Enjoyment of cutting-edge research, creativity and perseverance as well as the ability to work in a team
