Research Assistant - 0.6667 working time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD)

Working field:

  • Participation in research and teaching at the Chair
  • Participation in research in the development and optimization of new exchange-correlation functionals in density functional theory
  • Method validation for chemical systems
  • Quantum-chemical calculations with advanced solvent models

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemistry, specialization in theoretical chemistry
  • very good knowledge in quantum chemistry and computational chemistry
  • solid background in mathematical and physical aspects
  • prior knowledge on density functional theory
  • knowledge in computer programming
  • Sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
  • ability to work in a team and the dedication to carry out the scientific work autonomously
