Research Associate (PostDoc) - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

Research in the ERC Project COCAN (Complexity and Condition in Algebra and Numerics) on “Numerical algorithms in complex algebraic geometry“ and / or “Random real algebraic varieties“.

Requirements:

Successfully completed scientific degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and Ph.D. in mathematics. Background in algorithmic algebraic geometry, preferably also for numerical aspects (condition numbers) and for the probabilistic analysis of numerical algorithms. We expect a high motivation for basic research as well as for applications. Experience with implementing algorithms is welcome. A very good knowledge of English is expected; knowledge of German is an advantage.
