Working field:
Research and teaching in software engineering and business engineering, in particular regarding the methods and tools for the design of operational software and information systems. The following topics are of particular interest:
Your duties will also include the management and leadership of the academic chair and its staff; the advancement of junior scholars; and designing courses and teaching in bachelor's and master's degree programs in Computer Science / Information Systems Management, particularly in compulsory modules (in German and English).
You will also be expected to demonstrate sustainability-based action, a commitment to knowledge and technology transfer, gender and diversity competences, as well as undertake committee and board work. Cooperation within the faculty, Technische Universität Berlin and science and industry in Berlin in research, teaching and applying for third-party funding are essential for the development of the academic chair.
Requirements:
Applicants must fulfill the appointment requirements pursuant to Section 100 of the Berlin State Higher Education Act (BerlHG). These include a university degree; an aptitude for scientific work (generally demonstrated by the quality of the applicant’s doctorate); additional academic achievements (generally demonstrated by a positively evaluated junior professorship, Habilitation or other achievements equivalent to a Habilitation), as well as an aptitude for teaching demonstrated by teaching experience and presented in a teaching portfolio (for further information,

We are looking for a candidate with proven expertise and an international reputation as well as sound knowledge, as demonstrated by publications in leading journals and/or plenary lectures at conferences, on the main topics listed above. In addition, research experience in at least one of the areas outlined in the job description is required as is experience in acquiring third-party funding and in international research cooperation (demonstrated by appropriate stays abroad and/or significant participation in international projects). Experience in academic self-governance, e.g. in the further development of degree programs, is also desirable.
