Research assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • participation in research of the chair, independent work on a research project in the field of industrial robotics
  • modelling and numerical parameter identification of robot kinematics and stiffness
  • development of a communication and control architecture for real-time compensation of robot inaccuracies
  • development of an adaptive path planning algorithm based on robot guided or stationary sensors
  • planning, execution and evaluation of experiments, especially in the field of robot-based fiberglass milling
  • knowledge transfer to industry and education
  • presentation of research results to industry
  • representatives and scientists at international conferences and trade fairs
  • international scientific travel activities

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computational Engineering Science or equivalent
  • advanced skills in German (at least C1) and English language in speech and writing
  • good knowledge of MS Office
  • advanced knowledge and experience in control theory
  • deeper knowledge in technical mechanics
  • programming experience, mainly Python and MATLAB
  • intention to obtain a doctorate and to work scientifically in a multidisciplinary team

desirable:
  • experience in the field of industrial robotics
  • independent, systematic and structured working method
  • independent work in laboratories and with machine tools (incl. maintenance and overhaul)
  • willingness to carry out business trips (national, international)
