The Process Dynamics and Operations Group is looking for a new colleague for participation in an exciting new research project to develop and test a new process for homogeneously catalyzed (green) methanol synthesis. The project includes cooperation with industrial partners and testing of the process in a demonstration plant at Chemiepark Leuna. Our contribution includes dynamic modeling of all relevant units and analysis of the operational behavior of sub-units and the overall process by simulation studies. Furthermore, scenarios for load flexibilization of the process are to be considered, for which explicitly compex model structures are to be replaced by data-driven models for runtime improvement
