Working field:

Teaching (4 hours per week) and research in Theoretical Physics in the field of statistical physics of complex fluids und colloidal systems with a focus on nonequilibrium phenomena. Participation in the third-party funded projects of the work group Klapp. Assisting the group leader in supervising final theses (Bachelor, Master, PhD). The preparation of a habilitation thesis is possible.


  • successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) an successfully completed PhD in physics or a related field
  • very good knowledge in theoretical physics
  • very good knowledge in the field of statistical physics, in particular in soft matter
  • very good programming skills and experience with numerical methods
  • high level commitment and ability to work independently
  • very good command of German and English
  • didactical skills
