• successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) with an engineering technology background, preferably in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied computer science, naval architecture and ocean engineering, or equivalent
• excellent team skills, high level of commitment, flexibility, cost-efficient mindset and approach
• ability to effectively document and communicate both technical and economic aspects and information
• ability to conduct binding technical negotiations with project partners and authorities
• ability to manage student staff
• excellent written and spoken German is mandatory

Desired qualifications:

• independent scientific work
• knowledge in the fields of sensor technology, traffic engineering, especially marine engineering, electrical engineering, automation/control engineering, system integration, computer science and metrology
• experience in Python, C++ and ROS is an advantage
• good command of English
