Research assistant - PostDoc - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 2nd qualification phase (for habilitation)

Working field:

  • you will conduct independent research in the field of subject didactic teaching research, curriculum and occupational field research, subject-specific occupational field research in the subject areas of civil engineering and landscape design, preferably on one of the following focal points: competence development, digitalisation and sustainability; analysis, design and evaluation of vocational education and qualification processes
  • you publish independently in relevant peer-reviewed journals
  • you independently teach subject-specific didactic courses to the extent of 4 semester hours per week in the vocational bachelor's and master's degree programmes in civil engineering as well as agricultural and horticultural science
  • you will supervise final theses, conduct examinations and contribute to their design
  • you will actively participate in the acquisition of funding

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in the professional fields of civil engineering or landscape design or agricultural and horticultural sciences
  • second state examination in teaching in the vocational subject area of civil engineering or landscape design or agricultural and horticultural sciences
  • special aptitude for scientific work, proven by a successfully completed doctorate in a subject didactics or a related subject with didactic content and very good result
  • at least 3 years of practical work experience as a vocational school teacher in the subject areas of construction technology or landscape design or agricultural and horticultural sciences
  • a subject-specific dual vocational training is desirable
  • several years of relevant experience in university education and teaching
  • willingness and experience in blended learning, online teaching and teaching evaluation
  • sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
  • interest in participation of academic self-administration
