Working field:

The Horizon-Europe Project “Circular Economy Resource Information System” (CE-RISE) will develop and pilot an integrated framework and an ensuing resource information system to identify optimal solutions for the effective reuse, recovery, and/or recycling of materials. This includes (a) incorporating information on Reuse, Remanufacturing, Repair and Recycling (RE) criteria and material composition of products into the Digital Product Passport (DPP) to enable traceability of materials in the supply chain; (b) extending DPP with information on the environmental footprint of products (PEF), socio-economic and environmental (SEE) impacts of RE processes; (c) enabling sharing of confidential and anonymized information among actors throughout value chains. The results will be piloted on fives case studies. Your specific tasks in the project are:
  • Evaluation of RE-criteria based on international, EU and national legal requirements, and voluntary standards (ISO, ICE, CEN, national) and assessment how they are harmonized, implemented, and monitored.
  • Coordinating the test of the CE-RISE Information System through developing, implementing and evaluating five cases around Information and communications technology (ICT), Heating, Ventilation, and Vir Conditioning (HVAC), photovoltaics and batteries. This task includes the theoretical groundwork for case studies, the work in the systems implementation with industrial partners, and evaluation and recommendation based on the pilots’ performance.
  • Data management inside the case studies workflow.
  • Documentation and presentation of research results to national and international project partners and at international conferences.

  • Circular economy approaches and recycling technologies in particular for Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), photovoltaics and batteries
  • Digital solutions for product information systems, product passports and environmental product declarations
  • Data management and data science
  • Legal framework for Recycling, Repair and Remanufacturing products inside the EU including voluntary standards (ISO, ICE, CEN, national)
- Capability to coordinate research processes with industrial partners.
- Affinity and skills to tackle digital challenges in the green transition
- Excellent English skills (oral and written) are required and basic knowledge of German to handle administrative tasks in the project are of advantage
