Working field:

  • management and responsibility of scientific projects in close collaboration with industry, trade unions, politics, marketing boards and scientific partners
  • identification of development drivers regarding manufacturing process chains in automotive and supply industry
  • deduction of development scenarios and strategies with special focus on sustainability
  • knowledge transfer to industry and education
  • advancement and inclusion of creative approaches to solve socially relevant challenges in the fields of manufacturing processes and carbon neutrality
  • support and guidance of scientific trainees
  • presentation of research results to industry representatives and scientists at international conferences and trade fairs
  • international, scientific travel activities


  • successfully completed scientific university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Energy and Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • advanced knowledge in process engineering
  • deeper knowledge in the field of process and machine tool dynamics
  • knowledge in the field of control engineering
  • basic knowledge in the field of process chains in automotive industry
  • experience in the field of environmentally sustainable concepts desirable
  • experience in guiding students desirable
  • good knowledge of MS Office
  • independent, systematic and structured working method
  • independent work in laboratories and with machine tools (incl. maintenance and overhaul)
  • intention to obtain a doctorate and to work scientifically in a multidisciplinary team
  • advanced skills in written and spoken English, German at least C1.
