Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

  • preparation and quality control of satellite based ionospheric GNSS data products
  • development and implementation of specific numerical software for scientific analysis of ionospheric data in combination with magnetic field data
  • extended interdisciplinary geophysical interpretation of the analysis results
  • scientific cooperation with national and international partners
  • publication of the results in scientific journals

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics, meteorology, geophysics or related scientific field; PhD welcome
  • advanced knowledge of numerical methods of data analysis and programming languages; Matlab, IDL, Python welcome
  • experience in scientific analysis and interpretation of Earth’s ionospheric and magnetic field data
  • experience with ground and space based GNSS remote sensing data of the ionosphere welcome
  • very good knowledge of German and English in written and spoken
